LIMA, PERU

Wrapped up the trip to Per with a stop in and then 2 days in Lima. Lima was good to see but it’s not one of my top cities in the world. Great food but I didn’t find Lima overly good looking as a city.

MACCHU PICHU

Getting to Macchu Pichu is a commitment. You need a plane to Lima, then a plane to Cusco, then a car ride to a place called Ollantaytambo, then a train to Aguas Clients, then bus up to Macchu Pichu. Prepare yourself.

After 2 nights in Arequipa we headed further inland and higher into the mountains over to Cusco. Check out the crazy hotel pods clinging to the side of the mountain.

My INXS Tribute band played Club LA in Destin, FL. This was a fun show not only because the stage is nice and big but also because the Australian based Listen Like Fans INXS podcast from Australia was in the audience and did an interview with the band.

BUFFALO

Took at trip up to Buffalo for Super Bowl weekend and it happened to be the coldest few days in something like 10 years. Although it was insanely cold it made for a unique visit to Niagara Falls and the Canadian Horseshoe Falls.

TORONTO

Took a fast 1 day visit up to Toronto. It was way too cold to hang outdoor too long but Toronto was still a cool city to check in with after a few years. The skyscrapers in Toronto always remind me of the weird green hue in The Matrix.

ANTIOQUIA, COLOMBIA

Wrapped up the Colombia trip out near Fredonia on the Cauca Valley at a Finca. Antioquia is like the Texas of Colombia (mindset). It is the end of the Northern Andes and both tropical and mountainous. It is raw life old school style where you kill your pigs and cattle and eat them fresh with cold beer and Aguardiente.

TOLU, COLOMBIA

Flew from Medellin to Monteria and then too ka 2 hour ride over to a place called Santiago de Tolú (Tolú). Honestly I was expecting more of a put together place but as it so often the case in a Costal Colombian place, it’s a bit of a wreck when it comes to infrastructure.
